On July 19, 2016 team CEC casted the largest ever metro pier cap in India for Noida’s 29.7 km metro line. This pier cap weighing 160 tons is the 1st of 105 special pier caps that will support the platform level for the line. Traditional pre-cast pier caps used for Indian metro line’s viaducts at Kochi, Noida, Lucknow and Delhi are approximately 11 m long x 2.5 m wide, but the ones casted here are 17.5 m long x 2.9 m wide.

First erection was successfully done on 3rd Sep 2016, using two heavy duty cranes 400 tons each at Alpha 2 station.
